The Seneca County Arts Council’s Artworks Gallery is showing the fine art photography of Charles Cappellino at its designated artist space now until July 30.  The Art Works Gallery is located at 109 Fall Street, in downtown Seneca Falls.

Charles says, “Appreciating the outdoors, nature and the night sky has always been a source of enjoyment for me.  Walking through the woods, observing wildlife or wandering my backyard with camera in hand sparks a sense of wonder for the natural world around us.”

Upon retirement, he chose to spend time refining the craft of fine art photography with the goal of sharing beautiful moments in time with others.  It was his intent to inspire others to see the world in new ways.

Charles also decided to offer his photographic art to raise awareness and funds for local nonprofits. This has resulted in nearly 100 framed photos donated to charity auctions. He adds, “My hope is to inspire you to use your unique gifts to make our community better.” The majority of the proceeds of all sales of Charles Cappellino’s current exhibit will be donated to the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network to improve Cayuga Lake water quality.

Seneca County Arts Council supports the arts in the local area through its art workshops, art shows, gallery space and a scholarship program. Artworks Gallery shows the work of member artists, photographers, handcrafted jewelry, pottery, blown glassware, knitted and assorted crafts. Interested in becoming a member?
